Concurrent Education Admissions
The Concurrent Education program is offered to students who are pursuing a career in teaching who have recently or are about to complete secondary school. Students may apply to one of two Concurrent Education programs: one through Queen’s, or to one offered in cooperation with Trent University (Queen's-Trent).
Applicants must apply online through the Ontario Universities' Application Centre (OUAC) for Queen's or for Trent. Application to the Concurrent Education program is made at the same time as application to Bachelor of Arts or Science at Queen's or Trent, or the Bachelor of Music or Bachelor of Computing programs at Queen's.
The application process is coordinated by:
- Admission Services at Queen’s University for the Concurrent Queen’s program
- Trent University for the Concurrent Queen’s-Trent program
Admission Deadlines
Applications are accepted beginning mid-October 2007, until:
Queen's - 1 February 2009 (Canada and US applicants)
15 February 2009 (International applicants)
PSE deadline: 1 March 2009
Trent - 14 January 2009 (all applicants)
PSE deadline: 2 March 2009
Selection is based mainly on applicants' academic standing. Some consideration may be given, however, to the Personal Statement of Experience (PSE). Prerequisite courses are the same as those for entrance into either the Bachelor of Arts or Science at Queen's or Trent, or the Bachelor of Music or Bachelor of Computing programs at Queen's.
