Founded originally in 1907, re-opened in 1966 with classes starting in 1968, the Faculty of Education at Queen's University has graduated more than 23,000 teachers and education professionals who are now working around the world.

Student & Alumni Achievements
Congratulations to Alicia Kelly, who has received the Student Contribution Award from the Society of Professional & Graduate Students. The award was given for her work as event coordinator for Students Speak: Educational Perspectives on Discrimination and Diversity.
The Faculty of Education is pleased to recognize and congratulate Leora Jackson, a third year Consecutive Education student who was elected 31st Rector of Queen's University on March 11. More details are available at the AMS website and the Journal.
Congratulations to Christopher DeLuca, B.Ed '04, M.Ed '05, and Ph.D. candidate who has just been awarded a Tricolour Award, the highest tribute that can be paid to a student for valuable and distinguished service to the University in non-athletic, extra-curricular activities. The Faculty of Education is committed to fostering a global, socially inclusive point of view among its students and faculty, both on the Queen's campus and abroad. To this end, the Faculty participates in international education organizations, academic partnerships, and employment and exchange programs that allow collaboration on educational perspectives, curriculum, and research. Through these activities the Faculty strives to deepen Queen's international engagement.
